The Aerogarden "Class" or Aerogarden 100 by Aerogrow is a hydroponic herb/plant grower that costs about $150.
Power Usage with Light On: 52 to 53 watts
Power Usage with Light Off: 3 Watts
As you can see most of the electricity used by the Aerogarden is used to power the two fluorescent "grow" lights. The pump itself doesn't really use that much energy.
