GIGABYTE UNITED INC., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards is proud to showcase their latest range of high performance motherboards featuring GIGABYTE's proprietary Ultra Secure and Ultra Power Efficient Technologies, including sneak peaks of the highly anticipated GA-EP45-EXTREME and GA-EG45M-DS2H motherboards based on Intel's latest 4 Series chipsets, as well as the GA-MA790GP-DS4H with support for the AMD 790GX chipset.
GIGABYTE United is again excited to participate in Computex 2008, highlighting some of their latest Ultra Secure and Ultra Power Efficient technologies equipped on their latest lineup of motherboards. GIGABYTE is the first motherboard manufacturer to include a comprehensive toolkit of features including Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced, GIGABYTE's Ultra TPM, Smart Backup - Plug & Play Hardware RAID, and a host of other features that not only maximize performance and energy efficiency, but also provide the highest levels of data security.
Intel Platform
To start things off, on display will be the world's first live demo of GIGABYTE's flagship P45 motherboard, the GA-EP45-EXTREME. Designed for extreme overclocking performance, the GA-EP45-EXTREME is based on the latest Intel P45 chipset with support for Intel multi-core processors up to FSB 1600MHz, including Intel 45nm processors. The GA-EP45-EXTREME also makes one Extreme gaming rig with support for ATI CrossFireX™ Technology with 2 PCI Express 2.0 x 8 interfaces, and dual LAN with teaming functionality, for ultra bandwidth. The GA-EP45-EXTREME is also equipped with GIGABYTE's unique Hybrid Silent-Pipe slot cooling system which utilizes the natural convection of air inside and outside the chassis to dramatically and noiselessly cool down the North Bridge, South Bridge and CPU MOSFETs without the use of a fan. The GIGABYTE Hybrid Silent-Pipe can also be used with water block cooling systems for additional enhanced thermal performance.
Also on showcase will be the GIGABYTE GA-EG45M-DS2H, an integrated graphics solution based on the Intel G45 chipset. Ideal for building digital home theater systems, the GIGABYTE GA-EG45M-DS2H features the latest GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver technology and Ultra Durable 2 design, providing optimized power savings, ultra cooling performance and extended system durability.
AMD Platform
On the AMD side, GIGABYTE presents the GA-MA790GP-DS4H, featuring the AMD 790GX chipset with integrated ATI Radeon® HD 3300 DirectX®10 graphics engine and support for the latest AMD Phenom™ quad-core processors including a 4+1 phase power design to support 125W and above processors. In addition to support for HDMI 1.3, DVI and HDCP interfaces, GIGABYTE has equipped the GA-MA790GP-DS4H with a host of features including support for ATI's Hybrid CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™ technology as well as dedicated 128MB DDR3 SidePort memory to enable extremely smooth video playback without affecting system memory performance. GIGABYTE also includes the ALC889A high performance audio codec and powerful Dolby Home Theater® suite of audio technologies, making the GA-MA790GP-DS4H the ultimate home theater system.
IGABYTE's Dynamic Energy Saver (DES) has once again proven itself as the industry leading energy saving technology with newly introduced Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced. Featuring improved algorithms that provide a more accurate power saving calculation, GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced provides better energy saving capabilities and enhanced system performance. GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced is the world's only motherboard energy saving technology with hardware-based Dynamic 6-Gear* Switching. With support for VRD 11.1, GIGABYTE's DES Advanced allows the motherboard to switch to 1 Gear phase switching during idle, allowing for a dramatic increase in power savings.
Designed with advanced users in mind, Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced allows users to take advantage of energy savings with or without the use the Dynamic Energy Saver Utility, for always-on, hardware based power savings. GIGABYTE has also retooled Dynamic Energy Saver to allow overclockers to experience the benefits of multi-gear power phase switching while overclocking, providing ultra stable, ultra smooth overclocking performance.

Setting a New standard for Motherboard Security
With a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip built-in, GIGABYTE provides TPM hardware-based encryption and decryption with digital signature keys to ensure a maximum level of data protection with 2048 bit encryption. GIGABTE's Ultra TPM provides an added layer of security by allowing users to store their digital signature key on a USB thumb drive, so that when they step away from their system, they can take the key with them, locking up their data and preventing unauthorized access while they are away. When making the portable user key, GIGABYTE's Ultra TPM auto deletes the user key in the hard drive, ensuring the maximum level of data protection.
Smart Backup- Plug & Play Hardware RAID
GIGABYTE's Smart Backup allows users to connect up to 4 Serial ATA devices for effortless RAID data protection. Dual onboard RAID controller chips automatically configure RAID setup without user intervention, making it easier than ever for users to enjoy enhanced data transfer performance, low CPU utilization, real-time backup on-the-fly and protection against HDD failure. |
