| This Dell Inspiron 1100 has a 2.30 GHz Celeron and 384 megs of RAM. 14" XGA LCD screen and a Belkin MIMO PCMCIA card. It uses 95 watts when on and charging. The laptop uses between 35 (when idle) to about 72 watts max (busy) when on and the battery is fully charged and plugged into AC. When the battery is finished charging and the notebook is off and plugged in to the AC adapter, it sucks up an unfortunate 4 watts of power. Therefore the recommendation is to leave the AC Adaptor unplugged when the notebook has finished charging and not in use. |
