Power usage:
- on: slightly below 100 watts on average (constantly varying because of dynamic contrast)
- standby: <0.1 watts
- off: <0.1 watts

That's excellent for a 47" LCD TV!

That's pretty darn good for a 47" LCD. I've heard of these 65" LCD TVs that suck in like 400+ (!) watts.

Here is more info... Since this device is equipped with a light sensor, its power usage depends on the actual room luminosity.

Here are the details:
- Watching TV at night, all lights off: average of 80 watts
- Watching TV at night, lights on: average of 80 watts too
- Watching TV at noon, sunny weather outside: 150 watts average

Note that to fully benefit from the light sensor, the dynamic contrast level must be set to "maximum", which lets this TV adjust its brightness in the widest possible range.
