The BiOrb 60 is a ~16 gallon spherical aquarium. The power usage is a mere 3 watts (used by the air pump). When the halogen light is turned on, the BiOrb uses a total of 12 watts, which is also very reasonable. The use of the optional LED light top should bring on even more energy savings, but it would set you back about $100 which is not worth it at all. The use of a heater would most certainly increase the electricity usage, but would allow you to keep tropical fish.
